In recent years, with the improvement of stone mining and processing technology, the consumption of granite has accounted for a large proportion of the consumption of stone. Moreover, granite is hard, wear-resistant, uniform in color and bright in luster and good in weather resistance. It is the best choice for outdoor decoration materials.
Dust, oil, juice and color stains in daily life are also easy to absorb and penetrate. At the same time, the mineral composition in granite is relatively complex, especially the iron composition in some light-colored granite, which often produces rust under wet conditions, which is manifested on the surface of stone, namely, block yellow spots. Then how to remove the pollution and pathological changes of granite?
1. Cleaning of paint and pigment on granite.
When the paint or pigment drops on the granite, in addition to adhering to its surface, a part of it penetrates into the shallow surface of the stone. Before cleaning, use a thin blade to peel off the thin layer of contamination on the stone surface, and then use the selected cleaning agent to start cleaning.
For the selection of cleaning agent, if you have the same or similar cleaning experience in the past, you can directly select and use the corresponding cleaning agent according to the experience. Otherwise, we should try to make corresponding selection and trial, but avoid abuse and misuse.
However, no matter which cleaning agent or method is used, it is better to try it in a small area in advance, and then use it in a large range after determining the effect and dosage.

2. Daily pollution and stain cleaning on granite.
Daily pollution and stains refer to some common pollution and stains on the surface of granite from people's daily life and work, such as oil, dust and unknown dirt. For some common oil stains, the use of some detergent containing surfactant formula with high alkalinity or weak alkalinity or neutral can achieve ideal results.
When cleaning, first pour the cleaning agent onto the working surface, brush it with a slightly harder brush, soak it for a while (about 10 minutes), then scrub it back and forth with a brush, then clean up the dirt, and then scrub both sides with clean water. Of course, the previous cleaning process can be repeated according to the situation.
3. Removal of rust spots on granite.
There are usually two kinds of rust spots on granite. One is the external rust and sewage which is the main inducement of stone rust. Like the rust on the surface of granite from the erosion of iron advertising frame by rain. The other is caused by the further oxidation and diffusion of iron compounds in the granite when it is attacked by water.
At the same time, the stone should be waterproofed in time after the rust spots are removed, because too much water will also pollute the stone.
Precautions for cleaning and maintenance of granite stains:
1. The acid and alkali resistance of granite is better than that of marble, so weak acid detergent can be used for cleaning.
2. The hardness of granite is greater than that of marble, and the wear resistance is better.
3. Granite is made of dense material and has strong water absorption. It is very easy to form water spots at the stone seam, and it is not easy to dry, so it is difficult to eradicate. Therefore, when cleaning and maintaining, use as little water as possible, and even use water should also be quickly dried.
4. Granite has strong oil absorption, so as to prevent oil pollution as much as possible.
5. Pay attention to anti-slip.
6. Daily crystallization hardening treatment (3-6 months/time)
7. Regular waterproof and oil-proof curing treatment (2-3 years/time)
